Areas of Specialty

Insecure Attachment. I help individuals with insecure ways of relating (avoidant, anxious and disorganized patterns) develop more internal security and stability through the exploration of old patterns, increased emotional regulation, developing more flexible ways of perceiving themselves and others and improved interpersonal relating. A part of our work together will be to understand where your patterns are coming from and then to help you develop a sense of self that is flexible yet boundaried, emotionally aware and present, self-compassionate and secure.

Codependence. I help individuals with codependent and anxious tendencies become more securely attached, feel more inherently worthy and self-assured. We will collaboratively find ways to increase your interdependence and discover a more embodied sense of self.

Anxiety & Depression. I work with folks with diagnosed and undiagnosed mood disorders to shift out of fear and hopelessness. We will take time to meet your anxious and depressed parts and understand more about what those parts are trying to tell you. Together we will explore your relationship to your emotions and unmet needs and work with your nervous system to become more regulated so you can handle the stresses of life with more ease

Relationship Challenges. Relationships are hard. Together we will explore relationship challenges that keep you feeling disconnected, isolated, unfulfilled and misunderstood. We are social beings. As such, learning to feel connected with others is critical to our mental and physical health.

I work holistically. What is holistic therapy?

By definition, holistic treatment looks at the whole person rather than just the symptoms. Through a holistic lens, I consider the interconnectedness of all parts of you. That means we cannot separate your body from your mental health, and we cannot look at you without looking at your environment and relationships. I combine talk therapy with other modalities, depending on your needs, and draw upon your inherent resources that are fostered throughout our work together. I come from a non-pathologizing stance, although terms like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and personality disorder diagnoses do act as a guide. We will explore patterns that show up for you, that have been difficult to change. We will take time to explore how you feel internally, as well as in your world and in your relationships.
