Meet Lauren, RP(Qualifying), CCC
Welcome! I am Lauren. I am a Level One, IFS-trained therapist. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
I believe that one of the bravest things you can do is decide you don’t have to do it alone.
I work with individuals and couples so that they can understand themselves in a new and positive way. My approach entails creating a safe, open, and engaging space that facilitates self-discovery.
Who I work with:
I work with individuals who are navigating concerns related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, stress, burnout, trauma, and self-esteem.
I provide counselling for couples to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and address conflicts.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
― Anais Nin
My background.
As a certified therapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a scientific background including 20 years of experience in healthcare, I have the understanding of the holistic approach needed to look at biological and mental processes.
My Therapeutic Philosophy.
I work hard to create an environment where you are an active participant in your own therapy. I value trust as an integral part of the therapeutic relationship. I work to build and maintain the trust of my clients so that it can be a space for you to show up fully.
I am passionate about assisting individuals and couples to achieve their goals through empowerment and strength-based approaches. I seek to understand my clients from their view of healing and offer an environment where they can communicate their thoughts and feelings.
What approaches will we use in sessions?
I am Level 1- Internal Family Systems Trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a compassionate, evidence-based approach that is a shift from thinking about ourselves to be in connection with ourselves. It helps clients explore and heal inner parts of themselves that hold pain or protection. In addition, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy and other mindfulness-based approaches.
Choosing the right therapist can be a challenging process, and it’s important to feel comfortable with the person you’re working with. I offer a free initial phone consultation so we can get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. Feel free to reach out to schedule a time to chat!

Renewal: to make like new : restore one's experience to the freshness of the present, to bring vigor, to replace something old.
Instead of operating from old, outdated psychobiological and neural pathways, slowly over time, we learn to create current, updated pathways that support us to experience what we want for ourselves in life.
